VFR Over The Top
 The VFR Over the Top
rating will allow you to, under a strict set of conditions, fly above the
clouds in order that you may proceed to your destination.
You must be a least 17 years
of age, possess at least a Private Pilot license, a valid Class 3 medical
certificate and have met all of the recency requirements
Flight Training
In order for you to qualify
for the VFR OTT rating, you must complete a minimum of 15 hours of dual
instrument time of which a maximum of 5 hours may be instrument ground time.
Training, and the level of skill to be reached, shall be in accordance with,
and as specified in the Flight Instructor Standard-VFR OTT.
